Q: What is the IBMCF?
A: The International Boys and Men’s Choral Festival, or IBMCF, is a week-long event honoring male singers of all ages, promoting artistic opportunities that foster intercultural understanding and camaraderie. It offers advanced musical and international education through singing, friendship-building activities promoting global understanding, as well as encouragement and support for male singing at all ages. It includes workshops, master classes, rehearsals and choral performances.

A: The International Boys and Men’s Choral Festival (IBMCF) will be held in the United States July 13 through 20, 2021.
Q: Where is the Festival?
A: The Festival will be held in Flagstaff, Arizona on the campus of Northern Arizona University (NAU) Tucson, Arizona at the University of Arizona (UA) and in Phoenix, Arizona. Choral Festival performances will be presented in Flagstaff and Tucson.
Q: Who participates in the Festival?
A: Top caliber choruses and individual choristers from around the globe may participate in this prestigious event.
Q: Were there previous Festivals?
A: The inaugural Arizona IBMCF was held in July 2011 and follow-up festivals in 2014, 2017 and 2019.
Q: Can my choir still participate in this Festival?
A: Yes. Please contact the Festival staff at your earliest convenience at IBMCF@intenationalchoralfestival.com to ensure your organization meets the criteria for participating choirs.
Q: My choir can’t participate, but can individual singers attend?
A: Yes. Individual choristers who wish to attend are asked to provide a letter of recommendation from their choir directors. Upon review, the Festival will issue an invitation to attend.
Q: How can I register?
A: Choirs may fill out the on-line registration forms or contact our office at firstname.lastname@example.org. Individual choristers who wish to attend are asked to submit an online form. Upon review, the Festival will issue an invitation to attend.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Cost for the Festival is $1250 per person. A non-refundable deposit is due with registration. View the payment schedule.
Q: What is included in the registration fee?
A: The registration fee includes all festival activities; seven nights accommodation of dormitory housing at Northern Arizona University (NAU), the University of Arizona (UA) and a motel stay at the Hyatt Place in Phoenix; all meals from the evening meal on July 13 through breakfast on July 20; and transportation for festival activities from Flagstaff to Grand Canyon, to Sedona, to Tucson and to Phoenix. The registration fee does not cover airfare or transportation to NAU nor transport to the airport or elsewhere after breakfast on July 20, 2021.
